The Clemente Course is designed to inspire and equip you to take charge of your life. It will help you master complex information and get more organized. You will improve your reading, writing, and discussion skills in an atmosphere that encourages independent ideas and debate. You will study some of the most important events, ideas, and creations made over the last 2500 years, meet new people, and develop leadership skills.
Who We Are
The Clemente Course in the Humanities® is a unique educational institution founded in 1995 to teach the humanities at the college level to people living in economic distress. The course is taught by faculty from local colleges and universities. Students learn through dialogue about moral philosophy, literature, American history, art history, critical thinking, and writing. More than ten thousand students worldwide have attended a Clemente course. The Savannah Clemente Course, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3).
