What is a Clemente Course?

The Clemente Course teaches the humanities at the college level to people living in economic distress. The course is free, including books and transportation. College professors teach literature, history, art history, philosophy, critical thinking, and writing. The course will begin September 1, 2020 and run for 15 weeks each semester. Students will earn college credit upon completing the course. 

What?

Two classes each week with dinner, transportation, and childcare provided.

Who?

Students are adults ages 18-55 who have been living in economic distress and are ready to take charge of their lives through increased cultural literacy.

When?

Tuesday and Thursday Evenings from 5:45-7:45pm - starting September 1, 2020
