What is a Clemente Course?

The Clemente Course teaches the humanities at the college level to people living in economic distress. The course is free, including all books, lessons, and field trips. College professors teach literature, history, art history, philosophy, critical thinking, and writing. The next class will begin in January, 2022 and run through June. Students will earn college credit upon completing the course. 

What?

Lively discussion of great texts, art, and ideas!

Class meets twice a week. Depending on the pandemic situation in January 2022, we will meet online or in person.

Who?

Adults  living in the greater Savannah area who have been living in economic distress and are ready to take charge of their lives through increased cultural literacy.

When?

Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30pm

January - June with holiday breaks

Where?

18 Abercorn Street in downtown Savannah
